Sally Partridge

Sally Partridge (DPhil, University of Oxford, 1992) has worked on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and mobile genetic elements (MGE) in gram-negative bacteria since 1997, now at the Westmead Institute for Medical Research, and is an honorary A/Prof at the University of Sydney. Sally has experience and expertise in detailed analysis of complex AMR plasmid sequences. Her >100 publications include major reviews and book chapters related to MGE and early papers reporting complete sequences of AMR plasmids. Sally is a member of the Editorial Boards of Plasmid, Journal of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy and Antimicrobial Agents & Chemotherapy and the committee of the Australian Society for Microbiology MGE Special Interest Group. Current interests include generating highly accurate sequences of complex plasmids from long-read data and using existing biological knowledge to improve large scale analyses of plasmids sequences.
